Take a break, slip off your socks and dip your feet in the lake. For me, nothing beats a little down time and a cool breeze. If you’re void of these luxuries Lakeswimmer is the remedy—it’s a dandelion infused gust, a pocket of scooting waterbugs, chirps and tranquility. Jewellers are electronic duo Gareth Leaman and Gareth Young. This is their second full-length release and it’s gorgeous. “Sing Trees” employs a glitched out guitar sample, some howling vocals and it makes a huge splash to open up the album. Think house implementation—slowly introduced tidbits (sliced guitar, reversed elements), building structure and kickass dance-ability. What makes the album great is its organic nature (snappy snares, clean guitar, etc). Take a break, slip off your socks and dip your feet in the lake.
