This is dope. Hashfinger has one part dopeness, two parts hip-hop flowing through his veins. Apparently he’s ill because these competing interests don’t leave much room for blood (which he’s sweat out, along with his tears to make M.Twelve).
The UK producer is well versed in the art of turntabilsm and slices smooth, cigar-clipped jazz records into production masterpieces. It has piano samples that tip-toe, dance, chit-chat, move to the bedroom to lulling bass lines–its wide-eyed, caffeinated heartbeat. This is jazzy hip-hop, hip-hop and jazz, jazze phizzle, fantastic music. This tape is a must listen.
