“Voice of the night” is a tractor beam to the senses. The sample’s rising vocals plant itself in my ear. It camps there, lights a fire, roasts marshmallows and crows “Kumbaya” into the night. This is the song I close my eyes and fall asleep to. This is the music crickets try to recreate. Lukito’s Interluke apparently dropped in August of 2010, but it’s all new to me. The album sounds like a naked version of an Ant (one half of Atmosphere) or BK-One beat—revealing its Bossa Nova, guitar-shaped figure. Must listen.
