Who says interludes can’t be awesome? Sure, they’re easy to skip over, especially if your itching to listen to a full length song. Sure, they’re usually filled with meaningless transitional samples and incoherent rumblings. With Lighthouse’s The Interlude Tape this isn’t its mission. From what I hear—vinyl static, glitchy drums and jazzed up piano samples—it’s asking the listener to reinvest their time to appreciate the album’s formulaic breather between tracks. He says, “[it’s] the music behind your noisy dreams.” So, sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bite ya’ll.
