Sometimes you can judge an album by its cover. Dailon’s As the Veil Dissolves has collage artwork because that’s what it sounds like. The Bay area producer offers a collage of sound—hip-hop snare drops, space-aged synth work and with the glitchy pace of a three-legged race. Each track stumbles, fumbles and when all the genre melding works in cooperation is a beautiful race to the finish. To quote Dailon’s Facebook, “fuk a genre,” just enjoy the music.
