Rappers Drive U.S. Car Industry

You’ve heard Coolio’s “Cruisin”, he says, “Sport in a ‘vette brings me strapped….” What about Kanye West’s new project-rapper, Cyhi da Prynce’s, “Fast Lane”? He goes, “Black Pontiac in the H-O-V, bumping hip H-O-P”. Eminem even went as far to star in a Super Bowl commercial for the struggling car company. Rappers have been supporting the U.S. car industry for years. They’ve created a brand identity and promoted their rides in snappy 4/4 rhyme schemes. While General Motors has seen a slight rise in stock, they’re still in deep sh-t (Toyota $83/share). However, rappers continue to mention they’re favorite American-made cars. Of the genre of ‘U.S. car fancy’, here are the five best examples:

Wiz Khalifa’s “In the Cut” (Kush & Orange Juice)

Donnis “Ford Mustang” (Southern Lights)

Kanye West feat. Paul Wall & GLC “Drive Slow” (Late Registration)

Three 6 Mafia feat Lil’ Flip “Ridin’ Spinners” (Da Unbreakables)

Outkast “Two Dope Boyz (In a Cadillac)” (ATLiens)

Any suggestions? Do you think I have it right? If not, I’d like to see what you think. What did I forget (aside from Outkast’s music library)?
