Lupe Fiasco — Lasers (Second Time Through) Review

Alright. Just pretend it’s not a Lupe Fiasco album. Hey, it’s just some guy with mic skills and a label that’s trying to push him into the mainstream. Can’t blame an artist for that, trying to create a name for himself/herself. Just forget about The Cool and Food & Liquor, act like they never happened. Alright. Now, you might find joy in the album, might even sing a chorus or two (“Till I Get There” is charming, infectious, so is “I Don’t Want to Care Right Now”).

BUT, I REPEAT, DON’T THINK IT’S A LUPE FIASCO ALBUM. And, you’ll be fine.

If anything, if you’re dead set on this being a Lupe album, realize it only makes up a small percentage of his music catalog (that’s what I’m doing with the new Wiz music).

Don’t Listen to the below songs or prepare to be a little disappointed for Lasers:
